-put material from previous chapters on tests
-have a writing section on the test
-change format of quizzes more often
-circle wrong answers instead of correcting them - have students correct them
-maybe tests aren't weighted enough?
-are issues from grading and promoting at end of year?
two things have come out of this:
1) we should toughen up our grading
2) address Karen and Emily's areas of concern in regards to grammar topics
